A blank card featuring a skyline illustration of some of Maryport's greatest landmarks.
Great as a card for any Maryporter, or as a card for someone moving to or from Maryport. It could also make a wonderful engagement, wedding or "bon voyage" card.
I drew this skyline using pen and ink, by hand, and then digitally edited it to come up with the final image. It features the Settlement, the Shipping Brow Gallery, Fleming Square, Senhouse Roman Museum, St Mary's Church, the Aquarium, Christ Church, the lighthouse, a little fishing boat - and is finished with two statues by local sculptor Colin Telfer, "A Fishy Tale" and "The Lamp Lighter".
This is a special skyline to me - as I lived in Maryport for a short time as a child, and I grew up in various nearby Cumbrian villages and towns. It's also my 300th skyline illustration!
