Who I am
Here at Becka Griffin Illustration Ltd, I am committed to maintaining the trust of any visitors to my website and all customers. I will never share your personal details, and I’ll never use your personal details without your express permission. I’ve created a Privacy Policy to explain what information I collect and how I use it, and also what I do to keep it all secure.
Types of data I collect
Cookies
My website – and the partner websites that I sell through - use cookies to collect information. This includes information about browsing and purchasing behaviour by people who use these websites. It also includes information about pages viewed and products purchased. I do not use cookies to collect or record information on your name, address or other contact details. If you wish to disable cookies you need to change your website browser settings to reject cookies. My website is built using Shopify. I have a Facebook pixel installed on my Shopify website to monitor and track the effectiveness of my social media advertising.
Newsletters
As part of the registration process for my newsletters, I collect personal information. I use that information to tell you about stuff you’ve asked me to tell you about. I don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses. I use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver my newsletter. I gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails. In preparation for GDPR I deleted all contact details on all my mailing lists on 10th May 2018.
Consumer Information
When you purchase a product, or book a place on a workshop with me, your name, address, email and contact number will be stored online, either by Etsy, notonthehighstreet.com, Shopify, Paypal and/or Eventbrite. All of these third parties are fully GDPR compliant, and be assured that your details are safe. I will only ever use your contact details for the purpose you provided them to me for – either to post a product out to you or to contact you relating to a workshop you are going to attend. If I need to use your contact details to complete your order then I will delete it as soon as the order has been completed; and your data will remain secure on the third party website you made the purchase from. Any paper copies of your details will be destroyed securely after use (eg attendance lists, order sheets).
If I'm working on a bespoke commission for you then your details may be held on my computer. The details will vary depending on the nature of the commission - for example I may use your name as a file name, or I may have the contact details you have provided to me to include on your wedding invites. If you have commissioned me to draw your home then I may use the first line of the address as a file name. I retain copies of all my work indefinitely as part of my portfolio; they are stored securely on Dropbox.
For accounting purposes, your details will be held on securely online, within the third party websites I've mentioned, however they will not be used for any other reason, and I would never share your contact details without your express consent.
