A blank card featuring a special skyline illustration of some of Liverpool's famous Bold Street's most iconic landmarks.
Great as a card for any Scouser, or as a card for someone moving to or from Liverpool. It could also make a lovely wedding or graduation card.
The illustration was drawn using pen and ink, by hand, and has then been digitally manipulated to come up with the final image. It features the Lyceum, the Oxfam building, Matta's, Rennie's, Leaf, Mowgli, Maggie May's, News From Nowhere, Bold Street Coffee, Maray, Cafe Tabac, the old Rapid building and the Bombed Out Church. It also features little touches such as a tree at either end, the little seats outside FACT, a post box and the Reconciliation statue (that's the one by Concert Square).
I drew this image especially for an exhibition to mark the re-opening of Bold Street Coffee in December 2018. It's a street that I'm very fond of, and has been close to my heart for twenty years or so - my current studio is two streets away. I've walked down it several times a week for most of my adult life; I love the bustle and variety you are guaranteed to find here. Rich with unique and independent shops and restaurants, it's one of the very best streets in Liverpool. It was really hard to decide which buildings to include - and even harder working out which to leave out. But I hope I've captured just some of the essence of the amazing Bold Street!
Size approx 148mm x 105mm; matt brown recycled envelope slightly larger.
Also available as a print and as wedding or party invites.
